Our pediatric service is a natural extension of the outstanding inpatient and ambulatory care given by the professionals at Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. The VNA has the largest team of pediatric nurses and pediatric infusion nurses in the region. Children are not simply little adults – they have unique needs and must be cared for by people trained in the care of children. VNA Pediatric Nurses are dedicated staff trained in the special care and needs of children of all ages. The highly specialized caregivers from the VNA includes nurses, rehab therapists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists (and they were established as an autonomous team within the larger agency.)
We place a premium on communication with the family and the pediatrician with each step of the child’s care. Today, the same care and personal service to our most precious resource – our kids – exists in complement with the area’s largest home care agency!
