Almost 40,000 people were vaccinated through the 2008-2009 VNA Immunization Program.

About 560 community and private clinics were held throughout Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties. In addition, Employee Health visited all Kaleida facilities to offer vaccinations to all employees, and about 400 VNA patients were vaccinated during home visits.

All pregnant women were provided preservative free vaccine and FluMist nasal vaccine was available for healthy, non-pregnant persons aged 9 through 49.

If you are interested in scheduling a clinic at a private or public facility in 2009, call Donna Sauer RN, Program Director at 630-8738 for more information. A commitment of 25 people is required to schedule a clinic.
